This scholarship was established in 2023 by the Martin family as a memorial for their mother, Karen Ann Martin. This scholarship honors Karen Martin, an amazing mother and a fearless woman. Karen was known for her sweetness, grit, and fiery independence. As a single mother she never shied away from hard work. She did whatever was needed to help her kids flourish. She always had a dedication to doing her best no matter what she undertook. Her jobs ranged from sales to house painting to cabinet wood working. She was unafraid. She was always devoted to her children and grandchildren.
The Martin family believes in the important role that a Catholic Education plays in developing our children to be strong Christian witnesses and leaders of our faith in this life, ultimately preparing them for eternal life in Heaven. It is the family's hope that Karen Martin's life can continue to be a gift to others through this memorial scholarship in her name.
ACE scholarships was founded in 2000 to provide limited income families with access to quality, private K-12 schools through scholarships. Our Lady Queen of Peace was selected to be a part of the ACE scholarships in 2022.
Isn't it time to send your child to a safe environment where academics and respect for others is valued?
