Beth was born and raised in Colorado, where she attended Colorado State University and earned a B. S. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. She moved to Texas 32 years ago and made Lake Jackson her home. At that time, she also began attending St. Michael’s Catholic Church and has been an active member over the past three decades. She has been involved in several ministries over those 30+ years with Altar Society being the most one. OLQP has been an important part of her life since 1996, when her oldest child began PK3 here. She is the mother of three OLQP graduates. Beth has worked at BASF for 30 years and is currently the Learning & Development Coordinator for Engineering in the Houston office. She has been married to her husband, Brent, for 15 years and they share five children—Sarah, 28, Ryan, 26, Jake, 26, Alissa, 25, and Grace, 22. In her personal time, Beth enjoys baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Having first hand experience and knowing the value of a Catholic education in today’s society, we need to insure the continued growth of Our Lady Queen of Peace for future students.
Carie Fletcher was born in Freeport, TX and grew up in Angleton. She graduated from Alvin Community College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Mental Health. In 1993 she became a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and has worked in substance use treatment, intervention and prevention field through the years. She currently works for the Bay Area Council on Drugs & Alcohol as a Director of the youth prevention department. She met her husband Zack in 1999 and they were married in 2002. They have one son, Clay, who attended OLQP from 6th through 8th grade. During Clay’s time at OLQP, Carie was active in Home and School and was the president for two years. Zack was raised Catholic and Carie and Clay joined the Catholic Church in 2014. They are members of St. Anthony’s in Danbury. As a new member of the board, Carie will work hard to build OLQP’s presence in our community so it continues to excel in both Catholic and Academic education for Brazoria County.
Kent was born and raised in a small town – Quimby, Iowa. He started his career in the corporate world as a telemarketer for MCI living in Iowa, Arizona, Texas, & Colorado – in various roles. He finally worked his way to Senior Director of Information Services for AT&T Broadband in Littleton, Colorado. In 2003, he decided a career change was in order and decided to get into Law Enforcement and started working for the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office as a Jailer. He moved to the Patrol Division and was then promoted to the Criminal Investigations Division. He started there in the Tech Lab and began to forensically process all the digital evidence for the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office. In 2009, he married Sophia and they currently have 3 children (Kathryn, Victoria, and George) who all attend OLQP. Knowing that religion is an extremely important piece of life, he wants his children to have an education that builds on that. He is committed to OLQP School and promoting the growth (and expansion of grades) of the school in the community through marketing and financial responsibility.
